Raise the *solar* roof.

Elliot Friar

Every green thumb/bum needs a sustainable roof over their head.
  1. You Can Now Preorder Tesla's Solar Roof.

Sustainability innovation is through the roof (I know, so clever!!) at Tesla. Like, you can now preorder solar panels as roofing material. Tesla’s “solar roof” will cost you about $21.85 per square foot if you live in the United States — or $50,000 for a 2,000 square foot home after tax incentives — which is nothing after factoring in your contribution to the existence of Earth as a still-habitable planet. Although, that benefit might not last long because Elon Musk, Tesla’s founder, is trying to make us a multi-planetary species. The solar roof tiles are super durable, come with an “infinity” warranty and will actually save the buyer some green (money) in the long run. We're into it. 😍

"These cabbage fields are so (f)lush!"
  1. Your Veggies Will Grow With Toilet Water.

California is out-of-the-drought-woods for now, but scientists say the state’s dry and drench periods will be even more extreme as time goes on — and the city of Modesto is preparing with its plentiful toilet water. Modesto will start selling the water it collects and treats from sewage (after separating it from solids) to farmers. This means the carrot you use in your morning juice could have be grown with poop juice. The future is now! Y’all know this innovation is on brand as heck for us, since we’re passionate about irrigating your bottom *and* irrigating the world — bc washing with water is the most sustainable way to clean. ;)
